Christmas Hot Cocoa Station

I can't survive the cold without some hot cocoa. What better way to enjoy it than to have a hot cocoa station with a little bit of lights and a touch of decoration. And, Christmas time is the ONLY time I like peppermint. I place a small candy cane in the bottom of my mug and let it melt. To top it off, I add a marshmallow, or 2, or 3.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Christmas Candy Land

I have to say, I love, love, LOVE the deco mesh. It is so easy to use and I am very much satisfied with the end result. I do think, however, I need a bigger door!! I promise there is garland under there...somewhere. =)

Oh, Christmas Tree.

I have to say, this is my favorite holiday. I love the lights and the colors; snuggling on the couch and drinking hot cocoa, all while the tree lights glow.

I change my tree colors and ornaments every year because it's just plain fun! This year I went with blue and red with a candy cane stripe. I made some of the ornaments and bought the rest. I would say this year's tree is a bit on the whimsical side...Just a little. =)

My front door is coming up soon.

Cold Weather Drink Station

During the fall and winter I like to have a drink station filled with goodies to keep us warm. It makes it a little more bearable during the cold weather. It also makes it more inviting for visitors. I have done this for a couple of years and we really enjoy it.

Come on in!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits just like Red Lobster only homemade...Yum! (The recipe is on the Bisquick Box)

Who doesn't love hot cocoa

I am a tea drinker and my hubby is a coffee drinker. I just found tiered baskets that worked perfectly to display and makes everything easy to reach.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Autumn Banner

It seems as though I am way behind on getting all my fall decor up. There isn't a ton so don't worry. =) But, I thought I might want to get it up before I start posting anything Christmas...Which will happen on time!!

I made this banner thinking I would use it. However, God is bigger than us and an opportunity came up to donate it to a fundraiser for a family who just lost their mother. My heart breaks for them and I hope this helped even a little bit.

"Little Man" Babe Shower

My brother and his wife just had their first bundle of joy, Astin, on November 6, 2012. My mom and I had the pleasure of throwing them a shower before he was born
Here are some of the pics.

My dad rebuilt this dresser. It origially had no legs and was white. He does an amazing job with making something old look new. This was his gift to them so, I couldn't help but use it for the focal point of the shower and we stuffed it full of goodies.

Congrats to you both on a healthy little man. Can't wait to watch my nephew grow up. Love you guys!
